Newman’s Own Organics  was established as a division of Newman’s Own in 1993, and became a separate company in late 2001. The products are Certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Ingredients have been grown on farms that have not used artificial fertilizers or pesticides for three years or more. The farms and processors have been certified by an independent third-party.

I received A WHOLE LOT of goodies from Newman’s Own! I was so excited when I received my package of products I did not know where to start. I had the help of my husband and 2 little ones and so we pretty much opened everything and dug in (Haha). Wouldn’t you be excited to see all of this at your door!?

First we tried the Pretzels. We LOVE pretzels. I never had a favorite though until I tried Newman’s Own Organics pretzels. We received  Traditional Thins, Honey Wheat Mini’s, and Salted Rounds. I don’t know where to begin telling you how delicious these are! You can not go wrong with this simple all time favorite snack. My son and daughter loved the Honey Wheat Mini’s the best. My favorite are the Salted Rounds! They look neat with their customized “N” and boy oh boy are they tasty!!

Next, we could not resist anymore and got into the cookies which included Family Recipe Cookies like Chocolate Chip, Orange Chocolate Chip, Ginger Snap, and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. All of the Family Recipe cookies were extremely delicious (I say “were” because we demolished them). My favorite if I had to pick would be the Orange Chocolate Chip. All of them tasted homemade and are bite sized and are made with Organic Unbleached Wheat Flour and Organic Sugar. Leilani really enjoyed the Alphabet Cookies , one because they were chocolaty and tasty of course but mostly because she is learning her letters and she loved naming them as she pulled them out of the bag. We were making words with them and having fun as we were chowing down, WIN/WIN!

Fig Newmans were my husband and kids favorite and that is why I do not have many pictures of them. I did get to snag one before they finished them off and even I really enjoyed the taste, just delicious! Newman O’s should be familiar to everyone as they look the famous Oreo, but these in my opinion are so much better because they are organic and dairy free! I defeated the purpose of dairy free and dipped these yummy cookies in milk and they were just as good dipped as they are by themselves. I received these in Original, Chocolate Filled, and Vanilla.

The Hermits were something I have never heard of or saw before. I received the Cinnamon ones which are made with Organic Unbleached Wheat Flour, Organic Raisins, Organic Molasses, and Organic Sugar. These tasted as delicious as they look. I am the one who hogged all of these bad boys. They remind me of a brownie with the soft chewy texture. Mmmm… That is the only way I know how to put them into words! You HAVE to try these to know what I am talking about.

My family and I have been on a Dried Fruit kick lately. Both of my kids really love fruit, I mean REALLY LOVE! I always keep fresh fruit in the house, but dried fruit is our quick go to snack, especially on the go. We received the Cranberries and Apples to review. They are both Leilani and JJ approved! The cranberries taste like raisins according to Leilani. My sons favorite are the dried apple rings. They both have fantastic flavor!  The dried fruit line is 100% organic and contains no sulfites.

Finally let me tell you about Newman’s Own Organics Mints & Licorice. I am always one to carry mints on me and the hotter the better. Even Leilani loves the “HOT” flavored mints. My Aunt loves anything Ginger flavored so I gave her the Ginger Mints. She says they are as good as she expected and then some!  The organic mints are available in four flavors. Cinnamon, Ginger, Peppermint and Wintergreen and are packed in eye-catching  tins with colorful cover designs designating their flavor.

Who doesn’t love licorice?? It is my hubby’s absolute favorite candy of all time. It started with the popular regular twists in BlackStrawberry, and Pomegranate, and then Newman’s Own Organics just added the first sour licorice twist made with organic ingredients. The twist provides the special taste for four tantalizing new flavors: Sour Strawberry, Sour Cherry, Sour Mango and Sour Apple.  The sour ones are my favorite and my hubby enjoyed the original regular twists the most. The rich tasting candy is low in fat, sodium and cholesterol free, and contains no trans-fat. How much do you want to try these now?! Trust me, they are wonderful!!

  1. I’d love to try their peanut butter and chocolate cups! It’s irresistible to me anyway, and higher quality ingredients are always more enjoyable.
