Disney Pixar Inside Out on DVD *Review* #2015HolidayGiftGuide

Disney Pixar present an inventive animated film that takes you on a journey from the Inside Out to discover the emotional roller coaster inside your head.

Inside Out is directed and co-written by Pete Docter. This film is set in the mind of a young girl, Riley Andersen (Kaitlyn Dias), who has  five personified emotions: Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), and Disgust (Mindy Kaling). These characters tell a story how she leads her through life as she moves with her parents (Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan) to a new city.

Inside Out is one of my favorite kids movies this year. Disney Pixar has really outdone themselves with this one. I loved every second of this movie as much as my kids!

It is very difficult for kids to understand their emotions when they are young like my two kids and Inside Out had helped them (especially my 4 year old) with identifing what it is that they are feeling. The movie is made exciting and fun but at the same time very educational as well. My 4 year old daughter now finds it hilarious and believes she has little emotion people living inside of her. Its quite adorable. Her favorite is “Silly Island” which her and her brother show me examples of daily (haha) I highly recommend Inside Out as it is a great movie the whole family will love.

On top of Inside Out being a fantastic movie, the bonus features included on the dvd are very amusing and we really enjoyed them as well! You get to learn the process of creating this film and also a very cute short film called Lava! Riley’s First Date is also an included bonus feature (the clip is below).

Here are some fun activities and clips to enjoy
